Meet the Teachers!
Hi! I’m Oli, the founder of Balance Kids Yoga.
I teach yoga to adults, children and teens and I believe whether you are 2 years old or 102 year olds, yoga can help you explore how it feels to be happy, healthy and balanced.
My yoga practice began whilst I was in my final year of university in 2016. After graduating, I began working as an assistant in a number of nurseries and primary schools, both mainstream and in a Montessori setting. Over these years, I saw first hand how school is such a formative time and how we can forget the many stressors children face at this age.
In 2019 I began teaching children’s yoga on the weekends as I wanted the children I worked with to be able to access and experience the many benefits of mindfulness and yoga in a way that made sense to them.
Since Covid-19 I began teaching so much online that I then began to run Balance Kids full time! I now teach in nurseries, schools, studios and even care homes!
Meet my team…
Flo joined Balance Kids in 2021 as Oli's wing woman, assisting Kids' Club and teaching Nursery Yoga. She went on to teach her own nursery classes as well as being a Yoga Alliance-qualified adult yoga instructor with a qualification in post-natal yoga.
You will find Flo enjoying the odd 'Alien Sun Salutation', making magical yoga relaxation aids, and singing the 'Om Song' on repeat. Her favourite pose is Gruffalo Pose!
Meet Flo
Laura joined Balance Kids in January 2022. She has several years experience teaching multiple genres of dance to babies, toddlers, teens and adults. She also has experience teaching special needs adults and children alike, which is something she is particularly passionate about. Laura is obsessed with the nursery warm up ‘The Shimmy’ and sings The Namaste Song every night before bed. Her favourite pose is Lion’s Pose!
