Yoga for Life?

Balance Kids Yoga offers classes for 0-16 year olds …. But HOW on earth does that work?!

Baby Yoga & Developmental Movement (6 weeks to almost walking)

Focus: Helping babies with developmental milestones, as well as getting some movement into their bodies (before they can do it all themselves).

How: Parents learn hands on movements and postures to perform on their babies, as well as baby massage

Key Benefits: aiding digestion, improving sleep, helping with sitting/scooting/crawling/walking

Yoga for Under 5s (walkers-5s)

Focus: planting the seeds for body awareness, self regulation and kindness as well as improving strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and motor skills.

How: Through stories, songs and sensory activities

Key benefits: a healthy activity, away from screens that will contribute to their overall development and wellbeing as well as physical milestones.

After School Club (5-12s)

Focus: Creating a space for children to have fun & move in a non-competitive environment where they are encouraged to be themselves and listen to their bodies.

How: Through games, challenges, stories and mindful craft as well as sensory activities.

Key Benefits: As well as strength/flex/balance/coordination skills, kids are away from screens feeling happy and noticeably calmer, equipped with tools they can use everyday, forever.

T(w)een Yoga (10+ year olds)

Focus: Teaching tools for self regulation as well as listening to and being comfortable in body

How: Through a more ‘grownup’ yoga practice of breathwork and postures, with the addition of challenges and partner work to keep it fun and engaging.
